Company Overview

 

Heartlands Hope Foundation is a non-profit welfare organisation dedicated to caring for the elderly and at-risk youth across Greater South Africa. Its roots trace back to TLC in Cape Town, founded in 2000 by Derek and Colleen Pietersen—where business insight met a deep passion for serving underprivileged communities.

 

TLC was established to rehabilitate children living on the streets as a result of abuse, addiction, and extreme poverty. Over the years, its reach has expanded to support vulnerable children living in informal settlements. Nathan, having experienced personal hardship, loss, and brokenness, brings lived understanding and compassion to this mission.

 

Today, Heartlands Hope Foundation builds on this legacy, working in partnership with community networks, local police, Community Police Forums, the Department of Social Development, dedicated staff, volunteers, and generous supporters.

 

Our approach is practical and community-driven, with programmes designed to meet real and immediate needs.
